ben&jerry.

well sitting here eating a very cute 3.6 flounce cup of ben and jerry's ice cream, i thought of a very cute movie, aquamarine. but thats beside the point. on november 4th (also known as election day) ben and jerry's is giving out a free scoop of ice cream. which is very nice of them. so go to ben and jerry's, eat ice cream and be merry.

remember what watching tv was like in the 90's?

then- there were those oh-so-enjoyable saturday morning cartoons you got up so early to watch

now- there are no more cartoons... its all disney channel shows re-runs like zach & cody, and hannah montana.

then - you remember whn your mom would let you watch those "educational" TV shows in the middle of the school day, that really didnt seem educational to us and we thought we were getting away with watching tv?

now- we have some interesting shows, which would be mostly educational.. but also a bit too strange..

• sid the science kid - this show features a theme song (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X1qPKenmRTY) which encourages young kids to flail their arms instead of dance.
• its a big big world - this show is about a large sloth, who sings a song for everything and teaches kids that its ok to be slothful and like food more than anything else. no wonder theyre all fat!
• Caillou - This show, on PBS kids, is about a young, extremely bratty, boy who always gets what he wants and is spoiled by his parents and grandparents.
• Boobah - i dont even know what this show is about and i dont think i want to, the fluffy-alien looking animal-like things this show features has appeared in my dreams multiple times, and they havent been happy ones.

saint john in the virgin islands, where the weather is currently 87 degrees and sunny.
today, i decided nothing would be better than to visit trunk bay.
do some snorkeling. get my tan on. drink a fruity drink. you know.

so yesterday i went to the mall and guess what i saw?

yes it is an absolutely fantastical sight and makes my heart very happy.

but unfortunately the radio stations are not as hip as the mall and make christmas start in november. ew.

(which is, as my mom would say, the bane of my existence)

last night hurricane and i had a cuddle date on the hammock. much fun it was. then jake and lia came and runied it. that was not fun. then nick smelled my feet and started gagging... quite funny that was.

then the phillies won... and Joe Blanton is my hero.
