then- there were those oh-so-enjoyable saturday morning cartoons you got up so early to watch
now- there are no more cartoons... its all disney channel shows re-runs like zach & cody, and hannah montana.
then - you remember whn your mom would let you watch those "educational" TV shows in the middle of the school day, that really didnt seem educational to us and we thought we were getting away with watching tv?
- zoom
- the magic school bus
- reading rainbow
- zaboomafu
- bill nye the science guy
- wishbone
- mr. rodgers
- aurthur
- and of course... barney
now- we have some interesting shows, which would be mostly educational.. but also a bit too strange..
- sid the science kid - this show features a theme song (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X1qPKenmRTY) which encourages young kids to flail their arms instead of dance.
- its a big big world - this show is about a large sloth, who sings a song for everything and teaches kids that its ok to be slothful and like food more than anything else. no wonder theyre all fat!
- Caillou - This show, on PBS kids, is about a young, extremely bratty, boy who always gets what he wants and is spoiled by his parents and grandparents.
- Boobah - i dont even know what this show is about and i dont think i want to, the fluffy-alien looking animal-like things this show features has appeared in my dreams multiple times, and they havent been happy ones.

HA i enjoyed this very much, mostly because the 20th century ended in 2000, and we are now in the 21st. :P
but i agree .. kids shows now a days are baaad. especially boobah. it really scares me.
